Your Bio

Sportsology.Net provides fun facts, pictures, stories, games, history and opinions about Sports. We give our readers an alternative to the recycled stories from traditional news sources. We provide valuable information about sports related products so that consumers have the info they need to know before making a purchase. Our Internet radio broadcasts also offer a listening alternative to the generic Sports talk radio. With gags, guests and an infusion of humor we talk to you, not at you.

Founded in January 2000 by Russ Cohen & Doug Cataldo as Baseballology.com, the two started utilizing their sports and hobby knowledge to create a web portal that would encompass everything baseball. After creating a solid reputation with other writers, industry professionals, and several well known corporations they expanded their product to include web sites about Football, Hockey, Basketball, Wrestling and other major Sports.

Bewteen the sports websites and their privately owned collectibles website Card Corner Club, they enjoy a over 1 million (Source: Web Stats) monthly visits with an average visitation lasting an amazing 12.76 minutes (Source: Web Stats). They receive email correspondence from all around the globe including some surprising markets such as England, Turkey, Finland, Sweden and even Moscow.

Sportsology has performed live remote broadcasts and broadcast over the Internet via the Sportsology Radio Network. Their shows have all been part of some major sporting events over the last few years. Sportsology has broadcast live from the NHL All-Star game since 2000. They have also appeared at the NHL Entry Draft, the NBA Jam Session, The Hockey Hall of Fame, the Toronto Sports Expo, the National Sports Collectors Convention, The Rawlings Gold Glove Award Show and have many more events scheduled for the future. Currently they offer weekly podcasts and have two hockey shows on XM Home Ice channel 204, & now Sirius channel 208. In fact, Sportsology was the first to offer a weekly podcast about trading cards and collectibles.

Sportsology's goal is to produce high quality content for Sports Fans and Collectors. What they have created is a virtual online encyclopedia of sports information that can be accessed at anytime by anyone.

Truly a site by fans for fans the additional appeal to Sportsology is it's professional look and feel and the humorous take they present about Sports.

We are available to broadcast at your event live and have it stream over the Internet. For inquiries about having the Locker Room, the Hockey Hour or Card Corner Internet Radio show appear at your event, contact Russ Cohen at rcohen@sportsology.net.
